Accumulation of Credits and Certification of Subjects (ACCS)

Undertaking a course through the Accumulation of Credits and Certification of Subjects (ACCS) mode allows you to follow any module on one of our courses and be awarded a certificate on successful completion of the module. You will be awarded credits for each module passed. Typically, a total of 120 credits is required to obtain a Higher Certificate, 180 credits to obtain an ordinary Bachelor’s degree, and 240 credits for an honours Bachelor’s degree award. This scheme is designed specially to facilitate students wishing to follow courses on a part-time basis, as well as those taking evening courses.

Fees are charged on a per-module basis for courses undertaken within the ACCS mode at the institute. Students studying by ACCS are liable for all fees and are not eligible for funding. Contact the Fees and Grants Office for further information.
