Biography
Prior to joining academia, Trevor had over 15 years experience in the IT industry, in
technical support, infrastructure and consultancy. -
Research & Consultancy
Trevor’s research interests are in the area of the use of technology in the learning process,
specifically the role personal technologies play in the learning experience
for students in Higher Education. -
Teaching Experience
Trevor has extensive lecturing experience in the field of IT and Computer Science, with particular
emphasis on databases, infrastructure and cloud computing. He has worked in
four different Higher Education Institutions, both here in Ireland and in the
Middle East. His experience spans programme development, project supervision,
industry engagement, quality assurance and academic management. -
Interests & Professional Development
Trevor is currently undertaking a Doctorate of Education in Durham University in the UK investigating the role personal technologies play in the learning experience in Higher Education. Durham University is a member of the prestigious Russell Group of univ
