Noel Tierney
Lecturer in Computer Applications
I teach IT modules (mainly database languages – SQL in particular) in the Faculty of Business and Hospitality on the final year of the Bachelor of Business Degree, the Msc in Data Analytics (Full-time students), and Postgraduate Diploma in Data Analytics. I also teach computer applications (Ms Excel) to First Year students following science and engineering programmes. In addition, I have some duties in the Learning and Teaching Unit, conducting hands-on workshops and providing support to AIT faculty who that use Moodle based quizzes in their teaching and assessment.
A number of volunteer roles with the GAA at County, Provincial and National level, in particular training GAA officers on the various technologies the GAA has adopted and developed to administer its activities in Ireland and around the globe.
