  • Room: D2287
  • Building: Main Campus
  • Faculty: Faculty of Business & Hospitality

I joined AIT in 1990 as a lecturer in Information Technology and have worked within the Business School for the past twenty five years, lecturing on a variety of courses within the business department and the computing department. I have taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level and on business programs, accounting programs and business computing programs. Currently, I lecture in Enterprise Applications, SAP and Computer Applications. The Institute is a member of the SAP University Alliance and I have been instrumental in setting up our suite of courses in this area.

I hold a BA (Honours) degree in Business Studies and prior to joining AIT, I worked for a number of years in the IT industry in Ireland principally with the System Dynamics Group in Dublin in areas such as product development, software support, consultancy and training and in other employments with BDO Binder Hamlyn and Dublin Business School.

I am particularly interested in a student-centric educational philosophy and seek to design courses in ways that enhance the learning engagement of students. I have pursued innovative forms of teaching and assessment using problem-based and project-based models designed to develop both critical thinking and collaboration among students and to stimulate their engagement with the subject.
