Joined the Department in 1986, lecturing across a range of hospitality and tourism courses.

Holds a BBS in Tourism and Hospitality Management form Athlone Institute of Technology and an MSc in Tourism Management for Dublin Institute of Technology. Also tutored on a range of FAS and Teagasc courses.

Involved with HETAC panel for external college course development.

Panel member for the evaluation and accreditation of the H Dip in Hospitality Management (on-line) in conjunction with Hibernia College, Dublin, 2005.

Acted as external examiner for degree level programmes in Limerick, Cork and Tralee Institutes of Technology (2003 – 2006).

Research interest include cultural tourism and sustainable tourism policy and planning.
