An education and leisure Industry professional with a range of experience and qualifications. Practical experience includes; sports facility management, new innovative project development, project management, sales, marketing and communications material management, team building, motivation and health and safety. Joe brings experience, academic qualifications and practical industry focus to courses. Currently completing a PhD at TU Dublin. Research interests include physical activity through outdoor adventure activities for older populations. A keen outdoor enthusiast with experience in Scuba-diving (OWSI), kayaking, trekking and photography Joe is passionate about encouraging more participation across all cohorts in physical activity outdoors.

Currently engaged in doctoral research to complete a PhD. As part of this process I have presented at a number of national and international conferences relating to tourism, adventure and education

Ten years full time teaching across a range of subject areas in Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT). Prior to commencing employment at AIT I was involved in delivery of physical activities to a broad spectrum of client groups. I have experience teach children and adult groups.

A keen interest in inclusive physical activity for all. Specifically, interested in the promotion of the benefits of outdoor physical activity and increasing access and sustainable development of facilities to increase participation. I have a BSc in Leisu
