Brian Toolan
Lecturer in Business Studies
Brian Toolan is originally from Galway, Ireland. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from NUIG and a Master’s degree in Finance from UCD. He worked as an accountant with KPMG Reynolds McCarron and as a merchant banker with Lloyds TSB subsidiary Hill Samuel Bank in London, UK, for 10 years and in Dublin, Ireland, for 2 years.
Brian is a former director of the MBA programme.
He has delivered consultancy courses with a wide variety of public and private companies for both Irish and International government agencies.
Lecturing on undergraduate courses in the following fields:

Lectured to students from over 50 different nations.Brian has lectured in Coventry University, UK; IUT Rennes, France; University of Applied Sciences Hochschule, Emden and also Mainz, Germany, ; as well as in Ghent, Belgium, Politicno di Torino, Italy and University of Malaysia in Perlis. Brian has designed and delivered an MBA module for Aalto University, Helsinki, Finland and Poznań School of Banking, Poland.
