Seán is the Dean

of the Faculty of Engineering & Informatics at AIT having previously held
roles such as the Centre Manager for Applied Polymer Technologies (an
Enterprise Ireland Funded Technology Gateway) in addition to Engineeringand
Materials Science positions in Companies such as Bausch & Lomb, The Tech
Group and Perlos Oyj.

Seáns research

to date has focused on the Biomedical Applications of advanced processing
methods for polymeric materials including Additive Manufacturing,
Micro-Injection Moulding and Pharmaceutical Extrusion.

Seán specialises

in lecturing and professional training in areas aligned to Polymer
Processing, The Physics and Chemistry of Polymer Materials and Polymer
Characterisation. In 2008, Seán was the winner of the Irish IOM3 Young
Persons Lecture Competition, he subsequently finished 3rd in the World IOM3
Young Persons Lecture Competition.
