Welcome to the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biotechnology, TUS: Midlands Midwest.

Our Department offers student centred, career focused programmes in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Biotechnology and Biopharmaceutical Technology from level 6 to level 10.

Our programmes have a strong applied focus, where knowledge and technical know-how are developed in tandem with highly sought after transferable graduate attributes such as critical thinking, problem solving, team work and communication skills.

The latest pedagogical and academic research underpin all our programmes. Our aim is to provide you with the best opportunity to use your degree as a launchpad for your future career in the Pharma/Biopharma/Biotech industry and/or to successfully pursue a postgraduate degree.

Graduates of our programmes have gone on to successful careers both at home and abroad in diverse fields including academic research and teaching, senior technical managerial and research roles in Pharma/Biopharma/Biotech industries, governmental organisations, forensics and many more.
