Athlone Institute of Technology and the Faculty of Continuing, Professional, Online and Distance Learning are delighted to announce that we will be attending the Virtual Education Expo on 18th June, which will enable students to explore all of our flexible learning programmes on offer. Not only can you chat directly with our team, but you can download course materials and virtually attend several webinars and talks - all live via your smartphone, tablet or computer.
AIT and the Department of Lifelong Learning play an integral role in educating and upskilling the people in the Midlands region. The Department of Lifelong Learning offers learners the opportunity to consider engaging in a part-time and flexible programme of learning in Athlone Institute of Technology. Our programmes are designed to give you the skills, knowledge and competencies which you may require for your professional development and career progression.
All of our programmes are delivered using a blended learning approach. Teaching and learning are delivered online during the teaching week with a number of classroom face to face teaching sessions scheduled on Saturdays during each semester. You can balance work and other commitments and study at a pace that suits you. Our programmes are delivered by lecturers with current industry expertise and experience. This enrichens your learning experience. Our department staff are dedicated to ensuring that your educational journey with us, from registration to graduation is enjoyable, rewarding and memorable.
During the 2020/2021 academic year, AIT iis offering a broad range of programmes which are supported by the Springboard + initiative. There are free and part-funded places, available on the programmes, to suit both employed and unemployed people. These programmes are industry-focused and will give participants opportunities to acquire new knowledge and skills.
