The AIT Executive MBA is an academically challenging, professionally-orientated programme that will develop both managers and aspiring managers in a range of areas necessary to succeed in today’s business environment.
New to the programme for academic year 2018-2019, Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT) are delighted to announce a full scholarship to their Executive MBA programme. The scholarship is being funded by AIT’s esteemed alumnus Mr Michael Brewster an accomplished Wall Street adviser.
Michael graduated from Athlone Institute of Technology in Ireland with a Higher Diploma in Management and Finance and from Thomas Edison State University with a B.S. in Business Administration. He then joined Wells Fargo Advisors as managing director in March 2016 from Credit Suisse, where he spent 8 years. Michael heads the Brewster Financial Strategies Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. He has spent the past 24 years managing investments for high net worth and institutional clients, 16 of which were spent at Lehman Brothers. Michael is the sole manager of the MB Value and Growth, MB Strategic Dividend and Income and MB Small Mid-Cap and Special Situations Portfolios on the team.
Dean of Faculty of Business & Hospitality Dr Eoin Langan welcomed the scholarship commenting that, “it affords an opportunity to an individual within the Midlands Region to launch their career path to the next level through undertaking our engaging and innovative Executive MBA programme.”
The programme is delivered by academics with proven experience in both industry and academia, immersing students in a cohesive learning environment that melds theory and practice. Subject areas include Finance, Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, and Innovation, all rounded off with a Management Consulting Project and a
dissertation to consolidate learning. Whilst there is a strong emphasis on academic content, most of the assessments have been designed to ensure currency and relevance, thus ensuring students can apply skills and knowledge learned to their own workplace.
Students on the Executive MBA come from a variety of industries, working for companies that include household-names, in addition to public sector and small, local enterprises. They are generally characterised by having significant experience in the workplace and usually operate in a managerial capacity, with aspirations to progress in their respective
The MBA programme is delivered on a part-time basis over two years. The scholarship is open to legal residents of the Republic of Ireland only.
