We strive for excellence in every aspect of our engagement with students in the centre. Our Academic Writing Tutor, Dr Rebecca D’Arcy, oversees the running of the A.W.C., in collaboration with colleagues across all of the academic disciplines represented at A.I.T.
What we do:
We offer a range of services and supports pertaining to academic writing. These supports are available as workshops or individual tutorials. We cannot write your essay for you, but we can help with practical strategies to facilitate your work.
How we can help you:
We can help you with elements of essay writing including but not limited to, effective note-taking, critical reading, essay planning, structuring your arguments, editing and proofreading skills, etc. While we cannot write or proofread your essay for you, we can quip you with the skills you need to get the job done. We can also help with the practical formatting and IT skills elements of preparing an assignment for submission. If you are struggling to get started with an essay, or just need some guidance on systems of
citation, we are here to help. Make sure to visit us in plenty of time in advance of your submission date to ensure the best possible result.
