International Students Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements for Non-EU Applicants to Undergraduate Programmes

  • Applicants must be 17 years of age in January in the year of entry to programme of study at AIT.
  • Applicants must have successfully completed High School Diploma with good grades in Mathematics and English (average of 60%). Indian applicants must have completed Standard XII Examinations with minimum average of 60% in English and Maths.
  • Please note that some programmes have special entry requirements. Please check programme details in AIT prospectus or AIT website.
  • Applicants to programmes in Graphic Design and Animation must submit a portfolio of their work. Please check AIT website for guidelines.

English language Requirements for Non-EU Applicants to Undergraduate Programmes

  • Minimum IELTS Band 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 or equivalent English examination

or

  • Minimum iBT 70 (minimum score of 15 in each component).

Entry Requirements for Non-EU Applicants to Postgraduate Programmes

  • Equivalent of Honours Bachelor Degree from a recognised University in a discipline relevant to the postgraduate degree sought with minimum average of 60% in final year examinations. Please check Bachelor degree classification for entry to certain postgraduate programmes.
  • Please note that Master of Science in Toxicology requires minimum IELTS 6.5 with no band less than 6.0.
  • Letter of recommendation from academic lecturer from home university.

English language Requirements for Non-EU Applicants to Postgraduate Programmes

  • Minimum. IELTS Band 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 or equivalent English examination.

  • Minimum iBT 80 (minimum score of 15 in each component)
  • English language Requirements for Non-EU Applicants to Foundation Programme
  • Minimum. IELTS Band 4.5 with no band less than 4.0 or equivalent English examination.
