Support for professional development will encompass staff at all levels and in all categories of the Institute. The Human Resources department encourages all employees to manage their own career development, by committing to enhancing their personal skills and proficiency throughout their careers. The institute invests significantly in providing funding for this continuous professional development of its employees. The Professional Development Committee, a sub-committee of Academic Council, will advise on and help coordinate professional development. The Professional Development Committee will prioritise and oversee the allocation of training resources and ensure that equality and transparency prevail. All staff are encouraged to submit applications, with the support of their manager, for funding of courses and training, to the Professional Development Committee.
