AIT is offering over 340 Free places on Springboard+ courses, starting in October 2018 and January 2019.

These courses are being offered locally in Athlone, Longford, Ballinasloe, Carrick on Shannon, Tullamore and Mullingar

The objective to support those involved in or interested in a career in BioPharma, Med-Technology, Quality, Lean and Manufacturing sectors.

They are available free to a broad category of individual Employed, Unemployed, Home Carers etc.

Special Purpose Award in Robotics and Automation

The programme is a special purpose award in Robotics and Automation at Level 6. The target enrolment is for industrial maintenance personnel who are working or unemployed who want to up skill in this rapidly changing technology.

Numerous facets of the Irish manufacturing sector rely on robotics and industrial automation for the fabrication, assembly and inspection of products. The use of automation lines and robotics equipment allows for the high speed efficient manufacture of complex articles that can be assembled and inspected with greater precision and reliability compared to a manual process. Robotics & Industrial Automation are utilised heavily in many diverse sectors such as the Medical Device, Packaging, Aerospace, Food and Automotive industries. SPA Construction Management

This programme is a unique offering in Ireland and has been specifically designed to meet the modern requirements of a construction manager in a rapidly evolving sector. The focus of this programme is on contemporary challenges such as the implementation of lean management processes and proficiency in Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology. This Level 8 Award is specifically designed to up-skill graduates with the technical skills to build software applications that can run on the Internet. It also provides experience of the tools and framework needed to continuously deploy software applications. The course will consist of two Semesters. Modules taken in Semester 1 are Object Oriented Programming 1, Agile Design & Testing 1, Network and Cloud Architecture, Database Systems and Team Project 1.
