Why take this course?
Environmental Infrastructure is the branch of engineering practice that provides energy management, safe water supply, waste disposal, and pollution control services to protect human health and safeguard the environment and our communities.
This is a flagship programme bringing together the key strands of ‘Green Engineering’, bridging the economics and regulatory aspects of sustainable engineering with a focus on the technical implementation of environmental infrastructure and its impact on communities.
What will I experience?
The programme will be delivered over two academic semesters in a blended mode, predominately through online lectures taking place in the evenings with additional focused practical sessions taking place in AITs state of the art laboratories.
What opportunities might it lead to?
It is envisaged that this course will used as a stepping stone to employment in the emerging Green Economy.
Work opportunities include working in dedicated Facilities Management departments of various industries such as Data, Pharmaceutical, Agri-food, large scale commercial, Energy and Water Uilities and Local Authorities The graduate will be qualified to work with Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Local Authorities, Government Departments or as a Consultant in a Private Practice.
If travel is in your future, this course is ideally suited as it covers different aspects of Irish and International Green Engineering Technology.
