The Level 8 Higher Diploma is a professional qualification with a syllabus that comprehensively covers all aspects of the manager’s role and is based around practical experience and reflective practice.

Assessment Information

Assessments for the modules will include a combination of individual and group projects, reflective assignments, online presentations, reports and forum based assignments.

Minimum Entry Requirements:

Applicants should possess an NFQ level 7 Ordinary Degree in any discipline or equivalent.

Course Structure

Year 1

Semester One

Reflective Practice in the workplace: Students develop a detailed knowledge of interpersonal skills which contribute to Leadership

Leadership and Management Development: Focuses on generating team success using techniques in motivation and change management.

Aligning Resources and Plans: Develops students capacity for designing functional action plans and setting short-term objectives

Semester Two

Relationship Management: To give students concepts of continuous improvement, problem solving, influencing and customer focus

Developing People: To equip students with a set of talent management principles and effective coaching competences.

Group Project: It will focus on a group project that will facilitate team based learning, teamwork & communication
