Course Overview

If you hold a Bachelor of Business qualification, this honours degree programme provides you with the opportunity to gain a Level 8 qualification after one further year of full-time study. The curriculum includes advanced business knowledge and skills to prepare you for the challenges and opportunities likely to arise in future employment. The overall aim is to provide you with the opportunity to develop the analytical and high-level business skills required to deal effectively with rapid technological, organisational and environmental change in a modern business setting. You will develop a conceptual, systematic and mature approach to the identification, analysis and solution of problems in business/commercial/service organisations. You will also acquire the knowledge and critical understanding of the interrelationships between the different functions within business management.

Bachelor of Business (Level 7) qualification is required or Recognition of Prior Learning (APL/APEL)

 

2-3 evenings per week 6pm to 9pm (online) Plus selected Saturdays per 9am – 1pm (online).

Induction

Induction for the September 2024 programmes takes place on Saturday 7 September 2024 from 9.00am to 1.00pm.
In advance, you will be required to review Pre-Induction reading material, available to you on https://tus.ie/flexible.

During Induction, you will be given the opportunity to:
– Meet your programme lecturers, programme co-ordinator and students
– Overview of the programme handbook, programme’s modules, assessments and delivery timetable
– Introduction to TUS learning systems including MS Office, Zoom, Moodle etc
– Outline of the learning supports available to you during the programme

One Year

Successful graduates of this programme are eligible for Level 9 postgraduate business programmes within TUS and/or elsewhere. The University offers a range of part-time, online postgraduate business programmes in a variety of business disciplines.

This courses will prepare you for a successful business career. Areas you can specialise in include accounting, banking, insurance, marketing, human resource management, administration, retail services and computing.
