Distinguished Fellowships
This prestigious award is the institute’s highest honour. The Distinguished Fellowship Award shall honour individuals who, through active leadership and/or scholarly endeavour over a significant period of time, have made continuing significant contributions to society, Ireland, the Midland region, the local community or to the development and advancement of Athlone Institute of Technology.
The nominee shall have a record of notable achievement and significant long-term service in their given area; or shall have had distinguished service in the academic or professional field and/or in business, industry or the local community; or shall have achieved distinction in a field of human endeavour to such an extent as to provide motivation and inspiration to the general public.
The recipient shall be granted life-long membership of the institute.
