Communications Research at SRI
Today's networks are evolving from a conduit for voice communications into a Future Internet that will act as a pervasive infrastructure and services platform to enable mobile, multimedia, multi-modal communication between all kinds of actor - human and machine. The realization of the Future Internet will pose many challenges. SRI seeks innovative solutions through original research in the following areas:
  • Seamless Content Delivery
  • Mobile Devices
  • Management of Networks and Devices
SUNAT
and the
Software Research
Institute

The SRI received ARE funding for the SUNAT program. This will research the Seamless Use of Network Adaptation Technologies(SUNAT) programme to allow enterprise networks to realise their full potential within the Next Generation Network.

The SUNAT research programme will focus on facilitating the rapid prototyping, creation and delivery of mobility enabled applications by developing a Service Enterprise Architecture for Adaptive Mobility (SEAAM).
