Pharmacy Technician conference

AIT is the venue for the first pharmacy technician conference to be held in Ireland on Saturday 27 March 2010.

Start Date: 27 March 2010
End Date: 27 March 2010
Event Time: 08:30-15:30
Venue: AIT

Athlone Institute of Technology is the venue for the first pharmacy technician conference to be held in Ireland on Saturday 27 March 2010.

This free conference is intended for students currently undertaking pharmacy technician studies at higher education and professional body levels; graduates of these programmes; as well as those working as pharmacy technicians in Ireland.

As the pharmacy sector in Ireland seeks to adapt to the rollercoaster of change, pharmacy technicians also need to ensure that their knowledge and skills are up to date. This places a premium on continuing professional development for technicians, an issue that this conference will seek to address.

The rationale for organising the conference is two-fold:

  1. Professional development and awareness of continuing education
  2. Formation of a community association of pharmacy technicians
