AIT has today signed an agreement with the Technical Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which will see more than 440 Saudi students come to the midlands over the next four years.

1 May 2009 - AIT Signs Multimillion Euro Contract with Saudi Arabian Training Agency

Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT) has announced significant contracts with the Technical Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The announcement was made during the Enterprise Ireland trade mission to Saudi Arabia and Qatar led by the Tánaiste, Mary Coughlan TD. Waterford and Galway-Mayo Institutes of Technology have also signed similar agreements.

3 March 2009 - Chinese Ambassador to Visit AIT

The Chinese Ambassador to Ireland, Liu Biwei, will visit Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT) today, Tuesday 3 March. The Ambassador will meet with institute President, Prof. Ciarán Ó Catháin, AIT staff, as well as with Chinese and Irish students and researchers.
