INVITATIONS

Each graduand is permitted to bring two guests to the Ceremony.   No admission is permitted to the ceremony without the tickets. Because of our obligation to comply with health and safety regulations, we cannot meet requests for extra invitations.  Please bear in mind that, extra guests will not be able to attend the ceremony itself; they are however, very welcome on campus and may avail of all catering facilities including the post-ceremony reception in the Coffee Dock.

 

NON-ATTENDANCE

If you are unable to attend please complete the Notification of Non-Attendance.  In this event, your award will be conferred in absentia.  The award may not be collected after the ceremony, nor may it be presented to relatives or friends; it will be forwarded to you by registered post within two weeks of request.

 

HIRE OF ACADEMIC DRESS

Academic dress must be worn by all graduands.  Gowns, caps, hoods and epitoge (a strip of material worn over the left shoulder) may be hired from Phelan Conan Ltd. at a cost of €40 (which includes a graduation fee to AIT).  Phelan Conan Ltd. will be located to the rear of the Student Canteen – adjacent to Café Java.

Wednesday, 26 October between 6.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m.

Thursday, 27 October between 7.30 a.m. and 9.00 a.m.

 

For Ceremony at 1.00 p.m. on Thursday 27 October

Thursday 27 October between 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon

 

For Ceremony at 4.00 p.m. on Thursday 27 October

Thursday 27 October between 12.00 noon and 3.00 p.m.

REFRESHMENTS

Tea and coffee facilities will be available in the Coffee Dock (main building).  After each ceremony, light refreshments will be served to you and your guests in the Student Canteen (main building).  

 

CAR PARKING

There are car parking spaces on Campus and at the East Campus car park.

PHOTOGRAPHER/FRAMERS

The official commercial photographer for the day is Brad Anderson, Photo One Studio, Unit 3 Lisoban, Tuam Road, Galway (Telephone:  087 1331929:  Email:  info@photoone.ie)   Staff of Photo One Studio will be located in Rooms C2364, C2365, and Room C2368 (located over the atrium).  Pre-booking of photographs and/or frames is not a requirement.  We advise all graduands to use the official photographer only.
