Free Fee Students

Undergraduate students with a third level maintenance grant award are exempt from the student contribution fee, but are liable for any material fee if one is attached to their course of study.

Postgraduate students without a third level maintenance grant are liable for the full course fee. Postgraduate students with a third level maintenance grant are exempt from the student contribution fee and also the tuition fee up to a maximum fee limit of €6,230.

Material fees are not covered by a grant authority. If you are studying one of the programmes listed below you are liable for this fee and payment is required within two weeks of course commencement.

BSc in Veterinary Nursing  - Years 1 & 2 €250
Higher Certificate in Culinary Arts – Year 1 €29
Higher Certificate in Culinary Arts – Year 2 €120
BA in Hotel and Leisure Management – Year 1 €29
BA in Hotel and Leisure Management – Year 2 €120
Higher Certificate in Childcare Supervisory Management – Year 2 €29
Higher Certificate in Bar Supervision – Year 1 €29
Professional Cookery – Day Release – Year 1 (Failte Ireland programme) €29
Professional Cookery – Day Release – Year 2 (Failte Ireland programme) €120

 

PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY SUBJECTS TAKEN OVER AND ABOVE THE MAXIMUM OF 60 CREDITS IN ANY ONE YEAR MUST BE PAID FOR IN FULL BY THE STUDENT. THIS FEE WILL BE BASED ON THE EXTRA SUBJECT BEING TAKEN AND THE PROGRAMME IT IS OFFERED ON.
