Vaccination information

The following information has been provided by the HSE National Immunisation Office as at 3/2/10

Their contact details are at www.immunisation.ie

Pandemic vaccination is now being rolled out to the rest of the population who will be advised to access this through their own occupational health services, the mass vaccination clinics (MVCs) or their GP so they need to check with their own occupational health provider if they will provide this service and if so give them the info below.

Please note the following:

  • the pandemic vaccine to be given to the general public will be Pandemrix (except for those with a serious egg allergy who will receive Celvapan which is only available at the mass vaccination clinics)
  • ordering the vaccine – for those sites who already have vaccine delivered through the HSE National Cold Chain Service they may place their order as usual by fax to 01 463 7788 email vaccines@udd.ie or phone 01 463 7770. Those sites who do not have vaccine delivered should contact the HSE National Immunisation office at fax 01 868 2942 email Mary Dowling at mary.dowling2@hse.ie or phone 01 867 6108
  • storage - all vaccines need to be stored in a fridge and kept at 2-8 degrees Celsius. Further details may be found at http://www.immunisation.ie/en/VaccineOrderingandStorage/ and this will be discussed when a new site is approved to receive vaccine
