New Issue of AIT Life magazine Published
The first issue of AIT Life magazine for 2010 is published this week. The 24-page college publication has a print run of 100,000 copies and is distributed free of charge.
The cover stories in the new issue include a breakthrough that AIT researchers made in the treatment of cryptosporidium, why green tech engineering offers hope for the future, as well as information relating to new arts and law degrees at the institute.
AIT Life editor Brian Lynch says the new issue is fifty per cent bigger than the previous institute publication. “There is so much happening in AIT right now that we had to expand the scale of the magazine quite considerably. We’ve packed everything in that we could from research news to details of new courses, student achievements and sporting successes. Hopefully, people will find out a little more about the many aspects to the institute and the contribution it makes to the Midlands region,” he said.
He continued: “AIT is celebrating the fortieth anniversary of its foundation this year, so it’s appropriate that 2010 starts on this positive note. We’re launching an alumni association and are inviting graduates from the past four decades to register. Pat Beirne, MD of the Mergon Group and one of our first graduates, is the chairman of the association, and he has contributed a piece to the magazine. The message for 2010 is watch this space!”
AIT Life will be distributed widely throughout the Midlands region and can also be downloaded from www.ait.ie/publications.
