This add-on honours degree aims to facilitate the changing needs of industry, government and society in general, and to meet the career needs of students. The programme will be delivered through a combination of lectures, laboratory practicals, individual and group assignments, interactive workshops, site visits and guest speakers.
Minimum Entry Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and Renewable Energy or the Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (both Level 7 programmes) or a degree in any relevant engineering discipline or an equivalent Level 7 qualification.
Modules
Sustainable Energy Economics, Energy and the Environment, Sustainable Energy Management, Building Energy Control Systems, Energy Efficient Buildings, Electrical Energy Systems, Energy Storage and Distribution, Micro Power Generation, Sustainable Energy Engineering Project.
Progression
When you have completed this degree, you may proceed to postgraduate studies at AIT or at other third-level institutions in Ireland and abroad.
