With increasing regulation of the business world, there is a constant demand for graduates who hold the advanced knowledge and skills to understand and pursue domestic and international commercial business transactions. Furthermore, the synergies that exist between business and law are becoming increasingly apparent in areas of work such as mergers and acquisitions. The integration of key roles within these functional areas requires the interdisciplinary knowledge and related skills that was previously the domain of two distinct professions.

This four-year honours degree programme reflects these workplace developments and will provide you with an in-depth critical understanding of the complementary areas of business and law. It will give you the conceptual framework, knowledge and skills to evaluate a complex and changing business environment.

The degree will also enable students to analyse the respective importance of and the interrelationship between the different disciplines and functions represented in the modern business, and to develop critical understanding of the legal function and its importance in a modern business environment/legal context.

You will be equipped with a critical understanding of management and organisational behaviour specific to the business setting, and develop a critical awareness of marketing and its role in effectively supporting business development and enhancement.

The degree will also enhance students’ effective communication skills, in both a business and a legal context, and will develop further knowledge and skills in computing theory and applications.
